Bishop Julien Kaboréthe first nuncio from Burkina Faso, was ordained a bishop at a Mass on Saturday 14 September 2024, presided over by Pope John Paul II. Cardinal Pietro ParolinSecretary of State of the Holy See since 2013 and principal consecrator.
He received his episcopal ordination in St Peter's Basilica in Rome, in the presence of numerous delegations from all over the world and representatives from Ghana, where he will now be Apostolic Nuncio.
Surrounded by his family and friends, Bishop Julien Kaboré recalled that his country, Burkina Faso, was going through difficult times and needed peace and security.
