- Take the time to Watch the video below « Father Chevrier's Children »posted on the YouTube channel" Meditations by Father Gilles. The video traces the history, spirituality, and current activities of the Institute of the Priests of the Prado, founded in the 19th century in Lyon by Blessed Antoine Chevrier. Deeply shaped by a profound spiritual experience centered on the Incarnation and the poverty of Christ, he dedicated his life to evangelizing the poorest of the poor, particularly street children.
Through testimonies from priests, religious, and laypeople from around the world, the documentary shows how this charism continues to be lived out today: closeness to the most disadvantaged, a simple life, a mission of evangelization, and a commitment to addressing social issues (migration, poverty, the working class).
Straddling historical heritage and contemporary challenges, the Prado emerges as a spiritual family that is still very much alive, called to bear witness to the Gospel through its presence, brotherhood, and service to the poorest.
