This is a « A clerical secular institute of pontifical right, governed in accordance with the law of the Church regarding secular institutes«  (Constitutions No. 6).  

Its members are primarily diocesan priests. They carry out their ministry in their diocese, and it is always the bishop who grants the canonical mission. Knowing that there are members of the Prado community in a diocese, we can envision that a mission among the poor—as well as in the geographical and social peripheries—is possible in order to carry out evangelization in their midst!  The goal is also to raise up poor apostles for the poor. The priests seek, together with their fellow priests, a life of fraternity and shared living in the light of the Gospel.

The Institute also includes consecrated laypeople. « They live out the same vocation in the world, dedicating their entire lives to following the Gospel and participating in the Church’s mission of evangelization » (Constitution No. 6).

When a regional Prado is a completed Prado, it has the opportunity to involve laypeople, whether married or single, who share the spirituality of the Prado. In France, there is a proposal for permanent deacons, to become partners.
