Prado identifies a spiritual family which has its origins in the grace received by Blessed Antoine Chevrier, a diocesan priest from Lyon, at Christmas 1856. The grace sown by the Spirit in the Church is a grace that guides the lives of all those who are called to live in close communion with Christ in order to know him, love him and follow him more closely, and to proclaim him to the poor of our time.
"Association des Prêtres du Prado".
It is a " Secular clerical institute of pontifical right, governed by Church law for secular institutes "(Constitutions 6). The members are primarily diocesan priests. They exercise their ministry in their diocese and the Bishop is always the one who gives the canonical mission. If we know that there are PRADOSIANS in a diocese, we can envisage that a mission to the poor, as well as to the geographical and human peripheries, is possible in order to carry out evangelisation in their midst! The aim is also to raise up poor apostles for the poor. Together with their confreres, priests seek a life of fraternity and sharing of life in the light of the Gospel.
The Institute also includes consecrated lay people. "They live the same vocation in the world, dedicating their whole lives to the Gospel and participating in the Church's task of evangelisation" (Constitution N 6).
When a Regional Prado is an erected Prado, it has the possibility of associating lay people as married or single people who share the spirituality of Prado. In France, there is a proposal for permanent deacons.
