From Tuesday 1 to Tuesday 15 July 2025the Secular Institute of the Priests of Prado holds its Annual General Meeting in Limonest (France), on the theme: " Since the Spirit gives us life, let us allow ourselves to be led by the Spirit "(Gal 5:25).
Sixty Prado members from 20 countries came together to represent the Institute as a whole throughout the world. Today, Prado is present in 40 countries, bringing together around 1,000 priests and 14 brothers.
The purpose of the General Assemblies, held every six years, is to listen to the life of each Prado in its local reality: its dynamism, its joys and hopes, its sorrows and challenges. An important moment in these meetings is the election of the General Manager and his Council for the next six years. The Assembly also makes recommendations to the new Council.
The first few days were devoted to presenting the organisation of the Assembly and the synodal method that will be used. Each participant introduced himself or herself, sharing the reality of his or her country and continent.
Right from the start, a climate of listening to the Spirit, of fraternal attention and prayer was established.
