From 9 to 13 October 2024, the symposium on The mission and vocation of lay people in a synodal ChurchA reflection on the importance and mission of the lay apostolate according to the Second Vatican Council (Lumen Gentium 31, Gaudium et Spes 43, Apostolicam Actuositatem 1).
This conference, organised by the International Movement of Catholic Intellectuals ICMICA-MIIC Pax Romana and the International Cardijn Centre/Australian Cardijn Institute, brought together a number of specialists.
L'Prado Institute was honoured by Ellie DOUSKA(1) during the Panel "Theology of laity and lay apostolate" on Thursday 10 October 2024 - The journey of the laity from Lumen Gentium and Gaudium et Spes to Laudato Si' and Laudate Deum Fratelli tutti: challenges and actions. Sa presentation " "All missionary disciples": Alfred Ancel and the Institute of the Prado in the (post)Vatican II socio-ecclesial paradigm shifts"will soon be available online.
The colloquium also provided an opportunity to (re)discover the theology of the laity of Yves CONGAR (French Dominican priest, major theologian of the 20th century and key player in the Second Vatican Council) with Father Eric MAHIEU (2).
